Terms governing use of the MailThreatZero managed email gateway.

The service
MailThreatZero is a managed secure email gateway that scans inbound email before securely relaying it to your existing mail platform. It works with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Exchange, hosted email providers, and customer-owned mail servers. We accept inbound mail for the domains you configure, apply the scanning described on this site, and relay the result to the destination server you specify.
Fees and term
Charges are per protected domain per month at the rates published on the pricing page. The service is month to month; either party may stop it at the end of a billing period. AI analysis costs are billed to you by your own AI provider and are not part of our fees.
Your responsibilities
- Keeping MX records and destination server details accurate.
- Ensuring you are entitled to route mail for the domains you add.
- Reviewing quarantine, since a legitimate message may be held.
- Using the service within the Acceptable Use Policy.
Service commitments and support
We operate and maintain the gateway, apply updates and signature feeds, and monitor the service. Email support is included with every protected domain. Our support team prioritizes service-impacting issues — mail flow for a domain having stopped, legitimate mail being blocked at volume, or a suspected security incident — and works to a target of four business hours for those and eight business hours for everything else, Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00 US Eastern, excluding public holidays. These are the response targets we work to. They are operational targets rather than a warranted service level. No filter catches everything, and any filter will occasionally hold a legitimate message; the service is provided on that basis.
Termination and data
On termination we stop accepting mail for your domains — you should move MX before that point. Retained mail and tracking data age out on the retention schedule described on the security page; earlier deletion can be requested.
Changes
If these terms change materially we will tell affected customers by email. The date above reflects the current version.
